Are you this man - unknown, uninvited, unexpected? Were you the perfect stranger in the suit, standing there, in the gallery - maybe smiling?

What could your eyes see? What was in your mind? Were you enjoying the view? What were you thinking about? Were you recalling something? Were you waiting for somebody?

I met a perfect stranger for the first time on Monday, January 16th, 2012, about midnight. They say sometimes, you're not aware of what you're needing until somebody else shows it to you; sometimes, you don't know you were missing something, until you happen to find it in a perfect stranger.

I dedicate this blog to my perfect stranger. Diego, Max, Jurgen - whatever your name is and whoever you might be, all I can say to you now is: «Enchantée. Thank you for meeting me, too. My pleasure.»

NEWS FROM NADINE

Dear Perfect Stranger,

As you know, I'm in Mar del Plata right now. I've been here for a whole week.

A few days ago, I tried to post something in this blog. Unfortunately, I'm not only "bad with dates and times". Can you believe it?, I forgot the password!

(You'll be wondering how I've managed to post this. To cut a long story short, I've had to rely on some good Samaritan to use my notebook, log in on Blogspot automatically -as I usually allow my web browser to save all my passwords-, create a new entry in my blog and copy-paste the words you're reading now.)

About my vacation: I'm having a good time. I've already told you how much I love the sea. I'm feeling great here. This is simply wonderful.

... I must confess I've thought about you a few times. You said you didn't know if you'd be there when I came back. Well, I've taken your words as face value. If you're not there in February, so be it. I'm not specialised in Futurology, then - what will be, will be.

Mind you, I will try to find you when I come back, anyway. It's just one of those things I feel I have to do, and that's the only reason that occurs to me right now. But I'd never ask you to wait for me. If you're not there, believe me, I'll be fine. There were no promises between us. We shared four amazing, wonderful nights, and if that has been all, I'm OK with that. What is more, I'll always be grateful for the things we've been able to share with each other. And you can take that for granted.

I should be leaving now. Have a good time in BA, perfect stranger. Or wherever life might take you these days.

A huge hug coming your way,

Nadine.

PS: Of course destiny has its own way... but you can always help a little. I'll be in BA in two weeks' time. It's up to you to let me reach you -or not- there and then.
